My cat… My life…

Who asked:


I know this man (around 45 years old) who lives in a tiny, tiny cramped apartment with his cat.

He probably smokes a pack or two a day (cigarettes) with all the windows and doors shut.

He’s unemployed, so he literally spends the day smoking inside while watching TV.

My friends and I stayed at his place for a few days, and the whole time, he was smoking indoors, w/o any ventilation. I felt like I was choking to death the whole time, and my eyes were completely bloodshot.

Now I just realized that his CAT lives with him everyday. He knows the dangers of second-hand smoke, but he scoffs at polite requests to smoke outside.

Isn’t this bad for his cat? I’m a little worried.

Should I bring up the cat issue to him? My friends and I are only 17-19 years old. (I’m 18)

She is black with a very tiny patch of white on her chest. She is a scaredy cat, she will go to a corner of a room and sit there for hours, and she is afraid of pretty much everything. I need a cool name for her.

I want a maltese so badly. So I thought I would rescue one, I don’t qualify because I have 2 cats and a lab. The lab is pretty calm and when we got the older cat, she was fine, when we adopted a 3lb kitten, she was so gentle. So now I have to look at a breeder, am I wrong in trying to bring in a small Maltese pup with my other animals? It would only be home for a max of 3.5 hrs alone and I would keep it separate. My dog (maltese or shitszu ) don’t bark , she just do a silent whimper if she wants something like a short walk a few times a day to relieve herself , she does’nt do in the backyard, she does this thing like rolling over and she rub her chin and sometimes her behind , im going to give some deworming tablets soon also ,she like to eat my cats food and she drinks from his water, and she dont eat her dry food ( pedigree ) but she eats what we eat like chicken, rice, pasta , meat. She is very good with my kids, they ‘re 5 & 7 but my husband don’t want us to spoil her like if she’ll have her way she wants to sleep with us or the kids, she is well kept , i wash her frequently , check for fleas,they are pampered pooch right? but my husband won”t let us , i think he’s right too but what is the right amount of affection to give to her ?
