Should I bleach my black cat to white?

Black cat
Joe King asked:

Being black she is at increased risk of being run over at night. White would show up more at night. Better still maybe some of those bright hair colours people seem to dye their hair with Maybe I should have got a white cat in the first place. The other idea is to fit her with a bright orange jacket like motorway workers use, this may be much better than hair bleach which could harm the cat if she licks it off.
I am not serious by the way. I asked this question to get some funny answers

do you have a screw loose? no you should not bleach your cat… what a stupid question…… get her a collar that reflects car headlights…

LOL! You had me going for a few secs! I was getting ready to give you your character when the penny dropped!!!

I think you’re better off either keeping the cat in, or getting a reflective collar (the kind that comes off if it gets snagged on something). I would think that trying to dye any cat a different color would be an exercise in pain - most cats react very negatively to being doused with water and you would probably come away from the experience much the worse for wear.

no that would be mean but you could buy a white cat the opposite sex to yours then you could have loads of white cats because they will have kittens.

wedge her eyes open so she gives a better reflection with her cats eyes.

joe king ,,, why dont you put indicators and stop lights on her and a little orange light to flash on her head. and reflectors on each leg would be good. do you think that would help joe king? or you could keep her in the house when its dark

LOL! Can you imagine even trying to bleach a cat? Your whole house would be covered in streaks of bleach and bleached paw prints! It would make a good cartoon though! :-)
