Also, is it ok if i wasnt home during the day due to school, or do they always need supervision.

And do they get along with cats?

Lastly, what work needs to be done if I were to get a dog. Like i know they need to be walked, feed, and have shots done etc. but is there anything else? and is a small dog really hard to take care of?

I have a maltese and she will be 1 year old August 7th. I have had her to the groomers to have a hair cut 3 times. But I was wondering how long it will take her hair to grow out to the floor. And what is the best brush to use on her when it gets that long. I am using a cat like brush now. which is what the groomers suggested…. keeps her hair from knotting up

My male Min Pin has a very lively, spunky personality that I would hate to lose and my female Maltese has a very calm and peaceful nature. I would hate to lose those qualities. They are both great with other dogs, cats, children etc. and have amazingly perfect tempraments. My Min Pin hasn’t been marking territory, humping etc. since he was 9 months old. He was housebroken at 11 months and my Maltese doesn’t have any un-wanted problems. She was housebroken by 5 months of age so I am afraid they may start doing things in the house. What are the pros AND cons of spaying and neutoring my dogs? I need proper answers as anybody who has faced this deiema will understand my worries of fixing my dogs!

I have had my 14 wk old 3lb maltese for a week now. My maine coon is about 12 lbs & 8 months old. We got him at the Humane Society so Im sure he isnt a full breed maine coon & he is neutered. Anyways, we have tried & tried for hours to get them used to eachother. The puppy isnt scared of him & just wants to play of course. The cat pounces on him & attacks him. I let them do there thing until my puppy yelps then I pull him off the puppy. Sometimes it takes a while to even pull him off he is so ruff. Lastnight he turned around & attacked me. I know its kinda like interfearing but the puppy doesnt stand a chance. I feel really bad becuase I have to keep them seperated when Im not home or sleeping, & the cat used to sleep under the bed. Now I have to close my doors. I have a billion toys for him & even play with him as soon as i get home b4 I even go check on the pup. What else can I do? I cant keep living like this.. I feel so bad for the both of them Will he ever just like him?
